Closing the loop for Geocycle Week 2025

At Geocycle, every team member is committed to recovering the non-recyclable, closing the circular loop and collaborating with industry players to promote decarbonization.

To celebrate this, Geocycle teams come together each year to host clean-up events, volunteering activities and learning opportunities within their local communities.

This year, Geocycle Week took place from November 3-14, 2025.

Below are just a few examples of many activities,  where our teams got involved!

Latin America: Creating a lasting impact

In Latin America, our teams mobilized to generate real and meaningful results in their local communities.

In Argentina, they participated in a reforestation day at the San Nicolás Sports Center, planting new trees to expand green spaces and promote local biodiversity.

Employees in Colombia joined forces with students and teachers at the Technical Educational Institution of Nazareth – Chámeza Campus to clean common areas and create a mural, building a sense of community.

In Ecuador, the team recognized sustainability-conscious clients – including Unilever, Cervecería Nacional and Genfar – who promote responsible waste management practices as they build circularity with Geocycle.

Our team in Orizaba, Mexico cleaned and painted the General High School of Cuautlapan, helping renovate a hub for youth education.

Egypt: promoting sustainability awareness in schools

Over 40 students from the Rajac British School participated in Geocycle Egypt’s educational awareness class held on campus on November 11.

The program aimed to build awareness around waste management and sustainability through hands-on learning, while encouraging the students to take an active interest in creating a cleaner, greener future.

To further inspire the students, the Geocycle team organized giveaways and a friendly competition to crown a Sustainability Champion. The winning student has taken on the exciting task of leading the school’s sustainability initiatives for the upcoming month.

France: patching up for the planet

During Geocycle Week 2025, the team at Geocycle France had one objective in mind: to remind people that a purchase is also an environmental gesture.

At our Saint-Quentin-Fallavier site, employees met for a retextile workshop to raise awareness about the environmental impact of clothing.

The textile industry is now one of the largest CO₂ emitters in the world. Every year, millions of tons of textiles are thrown away – often without being recycled – and the amount of waste generated continues to rise.

Together, our teams collected old garments and gave them new life, transforming them into something useful once again.

Germany: turning waste into art

Geocycle Germany employees uncovered their inner artist and celebrated Geocycle Week 2025 with a unique Geocycle4Art theme.

In the weeks leading up to the event, team members were asked to collect yellow, blue and green packaging waste from their home and offices to be used later as impromptu art supplies.

Their mission: create their own interpretations of “The Starry Night”.

The finished collection of masterpieces showcased the team’s creativity and how beautiful circularity can be.

The art will be framed and displayed in the office or auctioned off for charity.
