Geocycle Brookfield's tire processing capacity increased to atleast 250,000 tires per year.

 

In 2019, Geocycle Brookfield and the Holcim Brookfield cement plant team commissioned a tire feeding system which has enabled the plant to safely co-process close to 178000 tires in the year 2020 alone. These tyres would otherwise have ended up in stockpiles and landfills.

Since the project's implementation, Geocycle and plant teams have constantly worked on improving the system to further improve the volumes. The team has also worked with the tyre suppliers to streamline the supply chain.
